Six in 10 Greeks own a smartphone, survey shows

Six in 10 Greeks own a smartphone, while 44.8 percent of them use it to stay connected to the internet, according to market research firm Focus Bari, which also said that almost all teenagers are web users.

It added that 76.9 percent of Greeks use the internet, while 67.3 percent of them do so on a daily basis.

The research that was conducted between January and March this year, further said that internet use by people aged between 13 and 17 is at 98.8 percent and at 88.4 percent among 35- to 44-year-olds.

The average time that Greeks spend online is 3.5 hours per day, while people aged between 18 and 24 remain online for more than four hours per day.
