Antigone | Epidaurus | July 15-16

Stathis Livathinos directs Sophocles’ "Antigone" at the ancient theater of Epidaurus on Friday, July 15, and Saturday, July 16. A co-production with the Greek National Theater, the State Theater of Northern Greece and the Cyprus Theater Organization, the play is part of the Greek Festival’s events this year. The cast is led by Betty Arvaniti and Dimitris Lignadis. Shows start at 9 p.m. Admission ranges from 8 to 40 euros. Tickets for Greek Festival events can be purchased online as well as at the festival’s box offices (39 Panepistimiou St, inside the arcade, open Mondays to Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and the Herod Atticus Theater on Dionysiou Aeropagitou St (open 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. daily).
