Man gets two years behind bars for killing neighbor’s cat
A 57-year-old man from Volos, central Greece, was handed a two-year prison sentence on Thursday for beating his neighbor’s cat to death.
The case reached the court after the neighbor, a 89-year-old woman, filed charges against the man. The later argued in court that the cat was eating his pigeons.
The man, who was arrested on Wednesday, was also ordered to pay a 5,000 euro fine.
