New Athens Ledra Hotel auction set for September

The auction of the Athens Ledra Hotel, a former member of the Ledra Marriott chain, has been postponed to September, after a first round drew no bidders on Wednesday. The hotel, located on Syngrou Avenue, closed its doors in late May following financial difficulties.

The hotel’s starting price of 47.8 million euros was expected to be lower in the second round, sources said.

Reports suggested the hotel’s about 200 members of staff were owed about 5 million euros in wages and compensation.
