Ozone levels high in capital, particularly in northern parts
Authorities have issued a health warning against high ozone levels measured by pollution monitors in Attica.
Areas where the amount of ozone exceeded the safety limit of 180 micrograms per cubic meters on Thursday included Maroussi (212 mg/m3), Lykovrisi (210 mg/m3) and Aghia Paraksevi (200mg/m3), while levels at Thrakomakedones were dangerously high, at 268mg/m3.
The elderly and people with respiratory conditions are advised to avoid going outside.
