ATHEX: Stocks keep creeping up
Most Greek stocks and the bourse benchmark posted a seventh straight day of gains on Thursday, though trading volume sank back below the 50-million-euro mark.
The Athens Exchange (ATHEX) general index closed at 562.84 points, adding 0.56 percent to Wednesday’s 559.72 points.
The large-cap FTSE 25 index expanded 0.86 percent to end at 1,530.13 points, while banks advanced 2.12 percent.
In total 52 stocks rose, 38 fell and 18 stayed put.
Turnover came to 49.2 million euros, down from Wednesday’s 78.2 million.
The general index of the Cyprus Stock Exchange in Nicosia expanded 0.63 percent to close at 65.85 points.
