Four Rottweilers seized from owner following fatal attack euthanized in Kozani
Four of the eight Rottweiler dogs seized from their owner on a prosecutor’s order after two of them fatally injured a 5-year-old boy at an Easter family gathering, have been euthanized, authorities in the northern Greek city of Kozani announced.
While Kozani authorities had initially sought homes for all of the dogs, including the two that attacked the boy, the applications submitted did not meet standard requirements, they said.
The two dogs found to have carried out the fatal attack will also be euthanized after a prosecutor ordered them unfit for adoption. The two younger Rottweilers are expected to be adopted by a professional dog trainer.
