Rouvikonas group members throw paint at Turkish Embassy

Members of a group of self-styled anarchists calling itself Rouvikonas (Rubicon in Greek) threw paint at the entrance of the Turkish Embassy in central Athens on Tuesday.

Police have remanded three people over the incident, which also included the distribution of flyers expressing solidarity with the people of Turkey following a crackdown by the government in the aftermath of a failed coup.

Rouvikonas has been linked to numerous acts of vandalism on public property and state offices, including smashing ticket machines at the Athens metro.
