Seaside resort town of Ermioni to get luxury resort

If a 40-million-euro investment project goes to plan, a new tourist complex will be developed in the next few years at Ermioni in the Peloponnese, which will include a luxury hotel and holiday residences.

The investment is due to be undertaken by Golden Land Goutos, a local real estate company, which plans to redevelop the land on which the Costa Perla Hotel currently stands. The hotel is located between the town of Ermioni and the resort of Porto Heli.

The developer in charge of the project will be local firm Zoniro, which is normally responsible for developing projects on behalf of Dolphin Capital Investors. The plan is to knock down the existing buildings so the new complex can be constructed. The new buildings will cover an area of 12,500 square meters and will consist of luxury villas and bungalows. Restaurants and a sea therapy center are also due to be created, along with a harbor for yachts and other pleasure craft.

Golden Land Goutos foresees work on the project starting in 2018 if there are no complications in the process to obtain the appropriate permits for the new complex. The aim is for the project to be approved under the category of hybrid tourist developments, which has proved increasingly popular in recent years. The Tourism Ministry is currently assessing 15 projects that fall into this category.
