Hersonissos burglar caught
An 18-year-old Albanian national was arrested in Hersonissos, Crete, on Saturday, accused of carrying out eight burglaries at hotels and residences in the vicinity in July.
Authorities believe the suspect broke into homes and hotel rooms and removed cash and items such as jewelry, electronic devices and mobile phones. A police search of the suspect’s home led to the discovery of jewelry, a digital camera and wallets, among other items.
Some cannabis and a 51-centimeter sword were also discovered on the premises, police said.
