Three arrested for illegal fuel trading
Two men, aged 48 and 38, and a 38-year-old woman were arrested Monday in Thessaloniki for illegally trading in liquid fuel. Police are looking for two more suspects.
Working on a tip-off, police stopped and searched a tanker truck and found that the 48-year-old driver did not have the legal documents for the possession and transport of 14,250 liters of liquid fuel it was carrying.
The fuel was heading to a gas station owned by the 38-year-old woman, who was also arrested. Her 38-year-old employee was arrested too.
The three accused appeared before a Thessaloniki prosecutor.
