Six arrested with forged travel documents

Six foreign nationals were arrested at airports on the southeastern Aegean islands of Rhodes and Karpathos on Wednesday for attempting to board flights with forged travel documents.

Two Syrians, aged 41 and 25, were detained for carrying forged Italian IDs as they prepared to catch a flight to Italy.

On Rhodes, authorities arrested two Afghan nationals, aged 40 and 30, a 59-year-old Palestinian and a 22-year-old from Congo.

All were heading for Germany, using forged IDs from Japan, Spain and Portugal.
