UK charter lands in Athens after mechanical problem

A Thomson Airways charter flight from Manchester in the UK bound for the Greek island of Skiathos was forced to land at Athens International Airport on Tuesday following a mechanical problem with the aircraft’s flaps.

No harm came to the 226 crew and passengers aboard the flight, who disembarked before being transferred to another plane to continue their journey.
