Man attempts to set mother on fire in Agrinio
A 41-year-old was arrested in Agrinio, central Greece, on Tuesday for the attempted murder of his 61-year-old mother.
According to police, the man doused his mother with petrol and tried to set her on fire after an altercation at her house.
The woman was saved by neighbors who heard her cries for help and alerted police.
He appeared before an Agrinio prosecutor later in the day.
