Despite the recovery of the number of visitors to Greece from the Russian tourism market, this year’s figures remain a far cry from the all-time records of 2013, with 1.35 million arrivals and revenues of 1.34 billion euros.

A conference on Greek-Russian tourism held in Rethymno on the island of Crete heard that the rise in arrivals from Russia this year should have been far greater than the 19 percent year-on-year recorded, according to the general director of the Association of Hellenic Tourism Enterprises (SETE), Giorgos Amvrazis.
