Police release replica of Ben Needham’s sandals worn on day he went missing

An undated handout photograph made available by Britain's South Yorkshire Police Monday showing a pair of sandals, they have had specially made, and which they believe resemble the pair British toddler Ben Needham was wearing when he disappeared on 24 July 1991, near the village of Iraklise, on the island of Kos, Greece. Police believe debris they found in 2012 near the farmhouse could have been parts of Ben's footwear but they were unable to get a DNA profile. Forensic experts will now try to match “items of interest” found on Kos this week with that found four years ago. Police currently searching on Kos have asked for permission to demolish part of aa extension to the farmhouse where the search is currently taking place. [EPA]
