Community Connect Athens meets on Wednesday, October 12, from 10.30 a.m. to noon at the Swedish Center in Plaka. The event includes coffee, cake and conversation, as well as a sale of used books/DVDs/CDs, handmade greeting cards, quality secondhand garments, homemade preserves and Swedish delicacies. Proceeds benefit the Anglican Church. There will also be collections of used postage stamps for the Brittle Bone Society and plastic bottle tops for wheelchairs.
