Pupils and teachers at the Greek school in Stuttgart, Germany, conducted a sit-in at the city’s Greek consulate protesting current conditions at the school.
Pupils enrolled at public schools in the region of Attica are calling on fellow pupils to participate in sit-ins on November 7. The protest action is being organized by a student committee in protest to current conditions at public schools.
According to the organizing committee, pupils are protesting against a lack of adequate teaching staff, which has led to the suspension of classes at a number of schools, as well as infra structure issues at several establishments.
The committee is demanding that all pupils receive one free meal per day, as well as free transport to and from their schools, among others.
