Anti-austerity protesters to march in Athens as technical talks begin

Members of the Communist Party's labor union, PAME, are to stage a rally in Syntagma Square on Monday afternoon, protesting planned changes to labor laws and demanding that collective wage bargaining laws be restored.

Protesters, who are to congregate outside Parliament at 6.30 p.m., are also demanding the restoration of the monthly minimum wage to 751 euros and for cuts to pensions and salaries to be revoked.

The introduction of greater flexibility to the labor sector is one of the many issues to be discussed between the Greek government and representatives of the country's international creditors.
