Parallel strategies

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras does not want to force all of his cabinet members to adopt the same stance on a number of crucial issues.

An example of this is the issue of privatizations.

The SYRIZA-Independent Greeks administration adopted two distinct strategies, while leading government ministers eventually ended up forming their own personal strategies.

Things have now come to a head on the privatizations front. Contradictions as regards privatizations are now taking on explosive dimensions within the government ranks. They are also threatening the expected cabinet reshuffle, while sending particularly negative messages abroad.

A lack of decisiveness at pivotal moments often leads to phenomena of disintegration, and this is precisely what the country is experiencing right now.
