Greek notaries continue foreclosures action
The union representing Greek notaries on Tuesday called on its members to continue their boycott on foreclosures of first homes at courts on Wednesday.
The union, which called for the boycott following vehement protests on October 5, repeated calls on the government to clarify the legal situation regarding repossessions, especially relating to primary residences, “to ensure the legality and smoothness of the proceedings.”
Although the government has pledged to protect primary residences for those with bank loans, there are no reassurances for debts to the state, the union said.
