Works from the Hermitage | Athens | To February 26

“The State Hermitage Museum: Gateway to History,” an exhibition of works from the permanent collections of the renowned Saint Petersburg museum, is on display at the Byzantine and Christian Museum in Athens. The exhibition runs through February 26. On view are 80 works, ranging from ancient artifacts to paintings and sculptures, including masterpieces such as El Greco’s painting of the Apostles Peter and Paul and Auguste Rodin’s Cupid and Psyche. The exhibition is taking place within the “Russian Year in Greece and the Greek Year in Russia” framework of events running in both countries this year. Opening hours are Tuesdays to Sundays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
