New labor minister says pension reform was completed in previous review

The new Labor and Social Insurance Minister Effie Achtsioglou – at 31 years old the, the youngest member of the new cabinet –- on Monday underlined that pension reform had been completed during the previous bailout review and was no longer on the agenda.

In the official handover from her predecessor Giorgos Katrougalos, Achtsioglou said the next round of talks with representatives of Greece's creditors will be tough. But she emphasized the importance of imposing labor laws and heralded "a boosting of the role of inspection mechanisms to impose the law in the labor market."

Achtsioglou was essentially Katrougalos's deputy in bailout talks and has a good insight into the negotiations.
