Cultural organization NEON presents “Flying Over the Abyss,” an exhibition of works at the Athens Conservatory by local and international artists influenced and inspired by “Ascesis: The Saviors of Gods,” a series of spiritual exercises penned by Nikos Kazantzakis. The acclaimed Cretan author’s original manuscript is also on display. Participating artists include Marina Abramovic, Alexis Akrithakis, Matthew Barney, Louise Bourgeois, Vlassis Caniaris, Stavros Gasparatos, Gilbert & George, Mike Kelley, Martin Kippenberger, Costas Tsoclis, Sherrie Levine, Bruce Nauman and Gary Webb. Opening hours are Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from noon to 8 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The exhibitions runs through January 29
