Greek PM Alexis Tsipras was expected to tour the eastern Aegean island of Nisyros on Tuesday, government officials have announced. From Nisyros, the premier was set to announce a series of measures regarding Greek islands.
On Wednesday, Tsipras was expected to visit his Thessaloniki office before departing for Brussels to attend an EU summit meeting on Thursday. He was also expected to visit Berlin for the 5th Congress of the Party of the European Left, which takes place December 16-18.
The PM’s agenda this week included meetings with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande, European Parliament head Martin Schulz and Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, among others.
