Ifantis family members shot in factory raid

The two people who were shot by armed robbers at a cold cuts factory in Kifissia, northern Athens, on Wednesday were members of the Ifantis family that owns the namesake cold cuts producing company.

Haralambos and Konstantinos Ifantis were reportedly both in a stable condition and are expected to make a recovery, according a medical report issued on Thursday by the KAT Hospital in northern Athens.

Four armed robbers barged into the factory and opened fire before speeding off.

They also fired shots at police officers they encountered during their getaway.

A manhunt is under way.
