Amendment scrapping VAT hike on Aegean islands submitted to Parliament
An amendment extending to the end of 2017 a discount on VAT rates for the Aegean islands hit by the ongoing migrant crisis was tabled in Parliament on Monday.
A vote was to be held later in the day.
New Democracy opposition, which last week abstained from a vote on plans to grant a one-off payment to low-income pensioners, has said it will back the measure.
