Rail company cutting back services on holidays

The national rail company OSE on Tuesday said it will be reducing services on several routes over the holidays due to scant demand.

OSE advised commuters to call the 14511 customer service hotline for information regarding any changes, adding that the measure will apply on the eve and day of Christmas and New Year’s.

The reductions will affect several local services across the rail network, suburban trains and two of the overnight routes between Athens and Thessaloniki.

OSE said the decision was made in response to reduced demand for the services over the holiday season.
