Koumentakis appointed new creative director of Greek National Opera

Composer Giorgos Koumentakis was appointed new creative director of the Greek National Opera on Thursday, following a decision by Culture Minister Lydia Koniordou.

Koumentakis, formerly in charge of the company’s Alternative Stage, will succeed maestro Myron Michailidis, starting on February 3.
