Cyclists to take to streets for event’s 24th outing

More than 15,000 cyclists will take part in the 24th Round of Athens on Sunday. The annual event, which covers 13 kilometers around the wider central Athens area, is a part of Athens Bike Weekend, which begins Saturday. Cyclists will set off from Syntagma Square at 10 a.m. in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Meanwhile, the competitive leg of the day’s event, the 1st Athens International Criterium, will start from the same spot at 11.45 a.m. The race is part of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) calendar.
