Thessaloniki surgeon gets more time to be questioned about murder

A magistrate in Thessaloniki Monday gave a 38-year-old doctor until Tuesday to prepare himself for questioning in connection to the alleged murder of a 36-year-old woman.

The surgeon denies any involvement and, via his lawyer, said he wants to wait for the postmortem to establish the exact cause of death. The woman’s body was found in a forest in Halkidiki last week.

The doctor admits to communicating with the women via Facebook to set up a medical appointment but claims that she did not turn up.
