Rare and beautiful works of art by some of the most important Greek painters of the 19th and 20th centuries will be up for auction in the Cypriot capital on Wednesday, May 10. Cyprus is a traditional market for Greek art and the works this time include oil paintings such as “Pomegranates and Grapes,” by Ioannis Kissonergis, considered one of the fathers of contemporary Cypriot art, and acrylics by Katy Stephanides.

The event is organized by the Psatharis Auction House and will take place at the Hilton Nicosia on Wednesday, starting at 8 p.m.
