Fatal road accident in Athens kills man, 33
A man was killed in a road accident on central Syngrou Avenue in Athens Wednesday when his out-of-control car crashed at high speed into parked cars and a pole.
The accident occurred shortly after noon. According to reports, the crash was so violent that the car engine was ejected onto the road.
The 33-year-old driver was rushed to the Gennimatas Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival. Police were investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
