Undeclared war

Governments in Greece may change but what does not change is this undeclared war on entrepreneurship and foreign investment. The complex and dysfunctional legislation, the overlap of responsibilities, the sluggish justice system and the totally ineffective state all conspire to put off any investor.

Amid this chaos, senior civil servants invoke the “public good” to deprive people of job opportunities and meaningful prospects. It does not make any difference if they are motivated by fear of responsibility, ideological obsession or pure incompetence. At the end of the day, they are still able to get away with it all.
