Digging their own grave
Those who have tolerated or cultivated thuggish political behavior in order to serve their own anti-bailout hysteria are much to blame for the things we are witnessing in the country today.
Although political parties and other groups issue strong-worded condemnations of deeply anti-democratic acts – such as that which unfolded in Parliament on Monday – the fact is that things have spun out of control in public life and extreme behavior has become the norm.
The sooner our ruling class realizes its members are basically digging its grave with their behavior, the better it will be for our democracy and their future.
