Euroleague Basketball Final Four to get underway

Sports fans will be glued to their TV sets Thursday as the Euroleague Basketball Final Four gets underway in Istanbul. Greek national champion Olympiakos takes on defending Euroleague champion CSKA Moscow at 6.30 p.m. (Greek time) before Spanish giant Real Madrid goes head to head with Turkish side Fenerbahce at 9.30 p.m.

The final is on Sunday. All games will be broadcast on state-run ERT and on Nova.

“These are amazing times for a player and this is an amazing opportunity,” said Ioannis Papapetrou. “Everyone in our team understands and recognizes the importance of this Final Four, how big of an opportunity this is, from [Olympiako captain] Vassilis Spanoulis to the youngest players in the team.

"It is time to leave everything on the floor, 100 percent, no less.”
