Woman dies after being hit by train in Sepolia
Authorities say a pedestrian has died after being struck by a Proastiakos suburban railway train at a level crossing in the area of Sepolia, west of Athens city center, on Wednesday.
The woman was taken to the capital’s Evangelismos hospital, where she was pronounced dead. She has not been identified.
Police said they are investigating the incident. An elderly woman was killed in a similar accident at the same spot in February.
