Poland’s Kajetanowicz wins Acropolis Rally

After a typically tough three days on the Greek gravel, the Seajets Acropolis Rally finished on Sunday with European Rally Championship champion Kajetan Kajetanowicz snatching victory in the end.

The Polish driver, along with co-driver Jaroslaw Baran, took their Ford Fiesta 5 first to the finish line in central Greece, just under two minutes ahead of challenger Bruno Magalhaes of Portugal with a Skoda Fabia R5, and just over five minutes ahead of fellow Polish Grzegorz Grzyb, also with a Fabia R5.

Cypriot Alexandros Tsouloftas finished fourth driving a Citroen DS3, and the first Greek on the list was Socratis Tsolakidis who was fifth with a Fabia R5.

The Greek race was the third of the year’s ERC calendar.
