Process to lift Elliniko stumbling blocks gets under way

The concession process for the development of the old Athens airport at Elliniko is emerging from its hibernation as the government is being forced by its creditors to wrap up pending issues before the plot is delivered to the winning bidder, the Lamda Development-led consortium.

In the coming days the company managing the plot, Elliniko SA, and the Culture Ministry will sign a memorandum of cooperation that will determine how the archaeological authorities will be involved in the works to start in the next few years and pave the way for the submission of the necessary integrated development plan.
