Rhodes man sentenced for killing dog
A man received a suspended two-year jail sentence and a 5,000-euro fine for running over and killing a small dog on the Dodecanese island of Rhodes with his car. The 60-year-old man has appealed the verdict.
According to the case file, the incident occurred in 2015 in Faliraki, and witnesses said the suspect could have avoided the dog. The case made it to court after an animal rights group filed a report.
