Banquet | Chios | August 7 & 8
Director Eletherios Veniadis presents his musical theater performance “Banquet” at the Chios Mastic Museum on Sunday and Monday, August 7-8, as part of the island’s summer festival (www.chiosmusicfestival.gr). The show is inspired by dinner parties with friends and family, with all the laughs, squabbles and profound conversations they inevitably entail. The performance brings together musicians Demetrios Karamintzas on oboe, Olga Holdorff-Myriangou on violin, Leila Weber on viola and Martin Smith on cello, soprano Stelina Apostolopoulou, actors Spyros Markopoulos, Nefeli Maistrali and Maria Moschouri, as well as the Chios Travelers youth choir. Doors will be open for arrivals from 8.30-9.10 p.m.
