D.W. Griffith's “Intolerance” (1916), widely regarded as one of the greatest films of the silent era, will open the 30th Panorama of European Cinema at the Athens Concert Hall on Wednesday, October 18, starting at 7.30 p.m. The screening will be accompanied by music composed by Nikos Platanos in a live performance featuring Platanos on piano, Tilemachos Moussas on guitar and synthesizer, and Nikos Youssef on the musical saw (and effects).
