The Greek National Opera formally inaugurates its new home at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) with Richard Strauss's “Elektra,” directed by Yiannis Kokkos and conducted by Vassilis Christopoulos, with Sabine Hogrefe in the title role, Agnes Baltsa as Clytemnestra, Gun-Brit Barkmin as Chrysothemis, Frank van Aken as Aegisthus and Dimitris Tiliakos as Orestis. Performances will be held on October 18, 22, 26 and 31, starting at 8 p.m. Tickets cost 15-100 euros (10 euros in low-visibility areas).
