The legend of the murderous barber who killed his customers and sent their bodies to his mistress so she could use their flesh as meat in pies to be fed to London’s judges inspired the musical thriller “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim. After several sold-out shows over the summer, the popular musical is being presented by the Armonia Atenea – Friends of Music Orchestra and conductor Giorgos Petrou at the Athens Concert Hall for three nights, with a cast of 26, including popular actors and opera singers, and a 35-member symphonic orchestra ensemble. Ticket prices range from 12 to 45 euros. Shows start at 9 p.m.
