Cesaria Evora Tribute | Athens | November 18 & 19
The Cesaria Evora Orchestra, with special guest star Dulce Pontes on vocals, pays tribute to the late great Cape Verdean chanteuse at the Gazi Live venue. The show, which is on a European tour, celebrates the life and work of “the barefoot diva,” in a production marking 30 years since the release of her first album that also includes emerging Cape Verde talents Nancy Vieira, Lucibela, Grace Evora and Elida Almeida. The show starts at 9 p.m. and ticket prices range from 25 to 50 euros, online at www.viva.gr. Due to demand, organizers have added an additional date.
