Corpse found at sea probably suicide, police say
Police say the death of a man whose body was found earlier in the week shackled in chains in the sea off northern Greece was most likely the result of suicide.
A coroner’s report said the corpse did not show any signs of foul play and that the cause of death was drowning.
The report also said the body, which was found off Nea Potidaia in Halkidiki, was in an advanced stage of decomposition and that the drowning occurred five to six days ago.
The body had yet be identified on Tuesday.
