Cyprus casino construction continues

The project for the Republic of Cyprus’s first casino resort, which is expected to be Europe’s largest, is proceeding smoothly despite the withdrawal of Hard Rock International, the Eastern Mediterranean island’s Gaming Commission official said on Thursday.

“The changes in the Cyprus registered company which was licensed to operate the casino have not affected the process of establishing an integrated casino resort,” Christos Mavrellis, president of the National Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission, told Xinhua.
