ATM blown up in Kalyvia
Unknown assailants blew up an ATM inside a supermarket in the area of Kalyvia in Attica early Monday morning, and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
According to police, the assailants smashed through the supermarket’s glass entrance on Kalyvion Avenue with a jeep and used an explosive device to blow up the cash machine before speeding off with the contents.
Attacks against ATMs with explosives have been on the rise in Attica in recent months.
