Vandals damage Holocaust Memorial in Athens

Authorities are seeking the vandals who damaged a Holocaust memorial at Kerameikos in Athens over the weekend.

The vandals removed sections of the monument in an attack.

The Kerameikos memorial was also targeted in 2014, when vandals used spray paint to write the acronym of a small far-right group on the monument.

Minos Moisis, the president of the Jewish community of Athens, called for the pieces to be restored, saying, “The vandals will never win.”

Municipal officials pledged to repair the monument.
