PAOK climbs to joint third after beating AEK

The impressive thumping of Aris by Kymi and the first win in the season by Panionios stood out among the results of the ninth round of games of the Basket League. Yet in the most important match of the weekend PAOK thrashed AEK to confirm it is on its way up.

PAOK had a poor start to the season, but it has now recovered to climb to joint third at the table thanks to an emphatic 86-65 victory over visiting AEK on Saturday. AEK on the other hand has slid to joint sixth.
